I have had 2 total knee replacements within the last six months and cannot recommend James Young enough. He is by far the nicest doctor I have ever met and I never once felt rushed with any of the consultations. I can honestly say I received first class treatment from him and his secretary Tess from start to finish and would 100% give them both 5 stars.

I had a partial right knee replacement by Mr Young in mid December and from the initial consultation right through to surgery and post meetings been treated with utmost professionalism, courteousness, fully informed of all the various facets of the procedure. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Finally, have to add my appreciation of Tess and her team, responsive, thorough and with great humour. Well done all.

With Mr Young I have had 2 operations on the medial side of my right knee. The latest was a Uni-compartmental knee replacement which has been a total success. Mr Young used the previous operation data to assist in me making the right choice in having the partial knee replacement. The level of information given to me was superb making me feel like I understood the challenges and solutions. The conversations are informative but feeling you are speaking to a human with great empathy and understanding of the situation. I would see no one else if I ever needed anything on either this or my other knee. Amazing consultant and made the journey so much easier with all necessary data - brilliant

My teenage son suffered a torn ACL and Meniscus injury, and approached his initial consultation with some trepidation, but any concerns were soon diminished after meeting with Mr. Young who explained the reality of the situation, procedure required and rehabilitation process in a relatable and reassuring manner. This professionalism and care was a consistent theme throughout our interactions with Mr. Young, Tess and all at Nuffield Hospital - I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent team.
